Cover work 06/02/14

Good afternoon,

I'm sorry I'm not in today, I'm on a trip with my year 11 students.

Today you need to finish off the work on conduction, convection and radiation (see previous blog post) and then you need to complete the sheets in your red book that are related on pages 82, 83, 78 and 79. If you don't have your red book then you need to ask the cover teacher if you can go and copy someone else's.

When this is all done you can watch these revision videos:

Have fun without me!

Conduction, Convection and Radiation

Good morning,

The lesson objectives for today are:
  1. to be able to list forms of energy that can be stored
  2. to be able to describe conduction and where it occurs
  3. to be able to describe convection and where it occurs
  4. to be able to describe radiation and where it occurs

Grab a post it note and grade yourself from 1-5 on each of the objectives (5 being "I'm amazing"). Stick this on your screen edge

Your research/reading task:
  • using the websites below produce a diagram of convection. Describe what convection is and where it happens.
  • repeat this for conduction and radiation.
